Spencer K. Ostler
Spencer brings a strong mix of trial, appellate, and investigative experience to Elder Care Injury, a specialized practice group within Eisenberg Lowrance Lundell Lofgren. Before joining ECI, Spencer began his legal career as a prosecutor, trying more than two dozen cases. Complementing his courtroom background, Spencer later served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Ryan Harris on the Utah Court of Appeals, gaining firsthand insight into how appellate courts evaluate and decide complex issues. He is equally at home in the trial and appellate arenas.
Spencer earned his philosophy degree with high honors from Utah Valley University before graduating with honors from BYU Law School.
Spencer has a special interest in financial misconduct and complex financial investigations. In law school, he worked on financial-crime cases during internships at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office. At ECI, Spencer applies that same investigative discipline to uncovering and analyzing financial irregularities that affect the quality of care for Utah’s seniors.
Outside of work, Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, practicing yoga, playing strategy games, and listening to financial podcasts.
